The Role
It was a new environment for me, and I really enjoyed the fast pace, team work and varied roles I shadowed
The household buying team were all really supportive and found me interesting and useful pieces of work to do.
I had an induction meting with the team leader at the beginning of my placement and also a closing meeting with her.
I felt the team were a lot busier than I was, but I was pro active in finding work to do and asked to attend meetings.
As a work experience placement I wasn't given much responsibility above taking minutes for a meeting.
It was a super valuable placement in terms of expanding my knowledge of the company and of the industry.
The Company
It was a busy environment - and sitting in on a particular meeting, the atmosphere verged on being quite agressive and competitive, but I enjoyed it.
Pretty well organised overall
It was a work experience placement so not much investment
Seems like a good graduate scheme, though it will entail long hours and very hard work!
The Culture
Seemed to be, although I didn't go out with the team.
I lived at home and commuted, so average for Hertfordshire
Cheshunt isn't the most interesting place! But close to London.
Not especially.
