  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I got treated like a real employee so I got to see what it was like to be an actual auditor

    • I got invited to all the department socials and no one treated me as if I was only a temporary member of staff

    • They did everything they could to make sure that I got the most out of my internship

    • At times there was not much for me to do but this was expected

    • At times I was given full responsibility over sections of the audit

    • I was given skills that I was able to refer to in my interview for the graduate job

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • It was fun at times but there was also a serious element which enabled me and the rest of the department to get the work done

    • There were times when I did not have much to do and I thought that this could be improved in order to get the most from the placement

    • they treated me as if I was an employee and I was allowed to do a lot of different training programmes to fill the time when I had nothing to do

    • After doing the placement i was 100% sure that I wanted a job with KPMG

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • We all got along well and made the effort to have lunch with eachother and organise our own socials

    • In a city it was as expected, not too expensive

    • There are lots of bars and pubs

    • It was nice to be invited into social events such as leaving-dos and department dinners
