The Role
Really fun and interesting work
Colleagues asked for work that they needed help to complete quickly.
Under supervision throughout but not much communication unless asked for.
Not at all at the beginning, really busy by the end. Depends on the department.
Involved in some really important and interesting cases.
Learnt a lot about different practice areas through focus on sessions which provided a good overview of different areas of law.
The Company
Everyone was very happy and fun, even when workload was heavy.
Outlook calendar used to ensure everyone knew where to be and when. Could have been given a bit more warning about nature and timings of socials.
Lots of practice area sessions and interesting activity based talks.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
An all-round lovely firm.
The Culture
Other placement students were very friendly and up for having fun.
City of London, so pretty expensive. Socials were all paid for by the firm.
Only a few pubs, but socials planned in centre of london.
Chance to get involved in pro bono work.
