The Role
Lots of variety and involvement in interesting work.
SH staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.
Staff are very supportive and willing to give up time to explain any work to you.
There was a good balance of work and activities.
I drafted letters and instructions for Counsel and did many of the things that a trainee would do.
The skills will be very useful during the LPC and when working.
The Company
Everyone is very hard working but also like to have fun and a chat during breaks.
The vac scheme was very well organised and we were kept up to date with any changes.
A lot was invested in ensuring that we got the real SH experience. We had talks on different practice areas every day and got involved with a variety of different work.
I have nothing bad to say about the firm and think that it would be an excellent place to work.
The Culture
There are lots of sports teams and CSR activities. Most trainees were very sociable. Vac students participated in 2 socials over the 2 weeks.
Central London is never cheap, but not as bad as it could be.
It seems to have a lot of trendy bars and pubs.
Some activities were arranged for us and i'm sure we could have got involved in more had we asked.
