The Role
The placement was interesting & informative.
Provided you show enthusiasm and dedication, the colleagues appreciate your efforts in tasks which are assigned to you.
Whenever I had a question both trainees and associates were more than happy to answer questions or run through particular problems with me.
Inevitably there are periods of time where there may not be something immediately to do, but on the whole there were tasks for me to be getting on with, and there are plenty of talks and know-how sessions which provide additional structure to your day.
Generally as an intern you cannot be given too much responsibility as you are there for such a short amount of time, but I certainly had independence when approaching a designated task.
General experience of office life & administrative tasks has been useful.

Company Parties/Events
Vacation scheme students are offered the opportunity to take part in an assessment day which may lead to being offered a training contract.
The Culture
We had lunch together most days & went out to a couple of socials e.g. drinks at The Folly near Holborn and bowling in Brick Lane.
London - fairly pricey but not too bad. You are paid £260 a week which covers most costs.
From Liverpool Street you are within striking distance of any of the clubs/bars in central London.
Couple of sporting events (e.g. cricket against a client team), and football also might be possible to get involved in.
