The Role
Loved it! Didn't want to leave. The job itself was never the same day after day, and always introduced a challenge.
Like with starting any new job - there are already formed social groups. I found that everyone was really welcome and felt like family by the time I left.
I was given lots of support and guidance by my managers.
Most of my tasks were based in the morning, so by the afternoon the work load was lighter. However, overall I had a busy workload.
I didn't expect to receive so much responsibility. But I'm glad I was given the opportunity.
My placement is directly relevant to me degree. I now have more knowledge of the different areas in which I can progress in to after I graduate. The courses offered to me on Microsoft Excel for example, will be extremely helpful for me in the future.
The Company
There were always team building or social events to look forward too. That's not excluding the monthly casual day.
Being the first undergraduate - both myself and the company learnt as the placement progressed. However by the time I left, there was a clear job outlined for my replacement.
With regards to personal development - the company is willing to assist you with various courses if required.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
The graduate scheme offered is not as relevant to my degree as I would like it to be. However, if there was a specific job available - I would definitely apply.
The Culture
Yes, we all meet up regularly and have each others contact details to meet up when we all return to University.
Compared to where I study, the rent is cheaper. But other than that everything else is on par.
Average. Personally I didn't go out much but from friends I've heard that they've enjoyed the nights out.
On occasion there would be events out side of work. This is something that was of focus to improve when I was leaving.
