The Role
I was able get involved with a lot of business activities throught my year and felt like a valued part of the team.
I received appraisals
My managers were always there whenever I needed any help and were more than happy to answer any of my questions
I was often very busy on a daily basis. I do find that I like to be busy so it didn't tend to bother me too much.
Due to working within a small team it meant I was able to be given more responsibilty than other students at times.
I believe that everything I have learnt will help me in the future in both the working world and whilst completing my degree. For example my confidence has definitely increased whilst working here.
The Company
It was a great atmosphere amongst my team, however I was unfortunate to witness people leaving the company due to redundancies which tended to leave a more mellow mood at certain times.
HR organised the placement well and have made good improvemtns for the forth coming yer which will greatly improve the experience for the new students.
I was able to attend training courses with has meant certain skills have improved greatlu throughout the year.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
There isn't really an opportunity to get a job within Panasonic afetr I have finished my degree
The Culture
I have been lucky to live with a large group of girls of which I get on well with them all. I also would say that I have got on well with the other studnet working here and have had a few noghts out with them all
Living was quite expensive in terms of rent. Howeber socialisung is relitively cheap as Reading which is where I have lived this past year is a student area anyway
There is no night life i the area where I worked. However I lived in Reading as it only takes about 20 minuted to get to and from work. The night life there is a lot better
I regualarly attended gym classes at the Reading University gym. There are also other opportunities to get ivolved in other activities.
