The Role
Really enjoyable. Similar minded people on the scheme, graduate recruitment were lovely and had really organised the two weeks well
Everyone was extremeley welcoming and approachable. Seemed to be genuinely interested in explaining things etc
Any question was always answered, things were made very clear and there was always someone to go to for help
Genuinely perfect balance between being given real work, and talks which had been organised by graduate recruitment about different practice areas of the firm and what life as a solicitor is like at CMS CMcK
Varied depending on who gave the task and the busyness of the departments. Generally was trusted to get on with things myself and recieved some interesting tasks to complete
Very good for confidence and learnt how to conduct myself properly in a professional environment. Also gained a real insight into a law firm that I had not been privy to before
The Company
Really friendly, the different teams and departments really seemed to get on well with one another
Only tiny complaint was that there could have been a small bit more IT training at the beginning of the scheme
Some good training on presentations, negotiation exercise also. A little more training/workshops could have been incorporated though
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Genuinely feel I would be extremely happy if I was permanently employed by CMS CMcK
The Culture
Lots of drinks trollies, and vaacation scheme students organised their own social outings on top of what had been organised by graduate recruitment
Expensive, but expected!
Good bars in the area
Could have played with sports teams or been involved in CSR
