The Role
Absolutely brilliant two weeks. Great people, really well structured scheme and a breadth of real, challenging work- Highly recommended!
What stands CMS out from other firms that I have interned at is that everyone I met knew who the interns were and tried their hardest to make us feel welcome (through giving us work, explaining what they do, helping wherever possible). There is a real enthusiasm that flows through the firm.
As above...But its worth noting that the HR/Recruitment team that organises the vacation scheme were brilliant.
Never had longer than twenty minutes without some work to get on with (Not photocopying!)
It's difficult to really assume responsibility when you aren't qualified to do so. However, we were involved in real work and were given real trainee tasks as much of the work is filtered through from the trainees around you.
It will give you a very realistic insight into the life of a commercial, city solicitor and for anyone who is considering going into this side of the law, it's invaluable experience.
The Company
Enthusiastic, friendly and professional.
A very well structured two weeks.

The Culture
Expensive, it's London. However, the firm do their best to help you out by taking you out for a meal, bowling, lunches etc.
