The Role
My placement at TW was very enjoyable. I was given a wide range of quality work to do, everyone was exceptionally welcoming and helpful and the scheme was organised well.
I was allowed to sit in on conference calls, was trusted with sensitive information and even brought along to client meetings. It seemed as though everyone was trying to involve me as much as they could.
My supervisor's door was always open and they were always willing to answer my questions. We were each also assigned a buddy who was a trainee at the firm. They were able to give more informal advice about any issues we might have had.
I always had more than one task to be getting on with at every point. If I ever ran out I would simply knock on someone's door and ask if they had anything else I could do.
I was allowed to create first drafts of documents, emails to clients and was tasked with important research tasks on difficult areas of law. Naturally all my work was checked before being used but I felt a certain responsibility in making my supervisor's life as easy as possible so that my work didn't have to be totally redone.
I learned a lot about the two practice areas I sat in and picked up quite a few tips for the LPC.
The Company
Generally calm and hard working as one would expect at a law firm but jokes were always being cracked and people did not feel like they couldn't just stop and have a chat.
A lot of the events had to be moved around due to availabilities but the whole placement still ran very smoothly.
All the people I worked with spent time explaining complex issues to me and were happy to help me with any difficulties I ran into.

Company Parties/Events
The final stage in the recruitment process, I'm hoping not to have fallen at the last hurdle.
The Culture
Four social events were organised during the placement ranging from bowling to a vist to the comedy store. These were excellent fun but unfortunately not all the fellow interns lived close so were not able to go out and have fun.
Located in the centre of london it's understandably expensive but you do receive a high quality time on a night out.
Everyone likes to work hard but also play hard.
I was encouraged to take part in pro bono work after work each week and both times I had a great experience. Unfortunately there were no sporting events going on while I was there.
