The Role
Very enjoyable. Great people, a great chance to get to know the firm, and a wide range of activities to give you a flavour of what life is like at CMS.
Very much valued. You are paired up with a trainee buddy and you are sat with a supervisor - an associate or a partner. You are made to feel welcome from day one. My buddy and supervisor along with others in the firm have taken time to explain things where required. For work you complete, you are thanked.
As above, plenty of support and guidance is given.
For me, it was a good balance. I always had work and had to manage my time accordingly but I never struggled or had too much.
As much as could be expected. I was given a range of work, there were basic tasks such as printing/indexing, but I also got to try my hand at some interesting drafting and research as well as some important proof reading for a partner.
It taught me a lot about what life was like at CMS, I think the training here is excellent.
The Company
Very friendly, everyone is supportive of each other. Everyone is working hard but they get on together and many socialise outside of the office too.
No complaints here, you got a clear timetable, and there was plenty organised for us.
Personal training and development is something CMS are big on.

The Culture
Yes, a meal and social were organised by CMS themselves. In addition to this, the vac schemes arranged two other socials and often met up for lunch.
London prices, but not outrageous.
The pubs/bars we have visited thusfar are fine.
Yes, there are CSR opportunities, sporting opportunities. You are welcome to take part on various things while on the vac scheme.
