The Role
I really enjoyed my placement as i learnt so many different skills and had lots of experience and exposure to various elements of the business world.
While i was on placement i definately felt like a real employee and was treated like one. Everyone was so friendly and helpful throughout my placement and really helped with my development.
I received amazing support from my manager throughout my placement, she was really supportive and encouraging. My placement was well structured with development points and plans to ensure i was progressing throughout my placement.
Generally i was busy throughout my placement, there were times when i was busier for example when we were planning exhibitions. Overall i felt challenged and busy - which meant the year flew by.
I was given lots of responsibility throughout my placement, however it was not scary due to the fact i had lots of support from employees. The amount of responsibility i was given helped improve my confidence
I learnt skills that i will be able to use throughout my career such as time management, organisation and many more. Placement helped me develop these skills in real life applications.
The Company
Atmosphere was fun, everyone is friendly and chatty!
My work placement was well organised, i knew what my expectations were and what work was coming up. We had regular reviews to ensure my placement was progressing.
Cummins invested a lot in my personal development but also in teaching me skills that i would need for the future.

The Culture
There were quite a few placements in Cummins so we had a good social scene and went out regularly.
My rent was fairly cheap (cheaper than at uni) so it meant i could save a lot for my final year.
It was fairly quiet, there was only a couple places that you could go out nearby.
There are lots of social clubs within Cummins and they are involved in Community activities.
