    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I have had an excellent time during my 2 week vacation scheme at Taylor Wessing. The staff have all been genuinely friendly and the trainees are happy.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt that the work I did for my colleagues was valued and save them time. Moreover, they made this clear to me on several occasions and I felt very comfortable in both departments.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • In both departments my supervisors were very helpful, whenever I had a query I did not hesitate to ask them. Very much an open door policy.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was busy almost the whole time which was great as it prevented me from getting bored or feeling like a spare part. The work I was given made me feel like part of the team.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a good level of responsibility during my placement, such as drafting emails for important clients and doing research for my supervisor for litigation.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • In my second week I was in Restructuring and Corporate Recovery, the research exercises I have completed have given me a good foundational understanding of some of the key areas in Corporate Insolvency which will be helpful when I take the module next year.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere was unlike any other firm I have worked at, there was no clear hierarchy everyone treated each other as equals. Additionally, everyone I encountered was approachable and happy to answer questions.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Generally, the placement was very well organised with socials and focus in sessions on each department at good times. The appraisal system works well at the end of each week.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
