The Role
I enjoyed my placement very much, with both my job and my colleagues I worked with at We Brand It
I definitely felt valued by my colleagues, and felt my contribution with my work was my valued within the team and within the company
I was given guidance by manager with anything I was unsure about e.g. processes, documentation, how the system worked
With my role and the responsibility I was given, I was always busy. There was always something to be done, and I was extremely happy with my workload
At the start of the placement, I was given a normal level of responsibility e.g. manging a average of 30-40 orders a week. After 2-3 months, and I once I was comfortable with my workload, I was given extra responsibility, which involved managing high value orders and bigger customers
I have learnt alot on my placement e.g. working with different types of personalities, how to manage my workload which I can use again in my final year of University and my career after University
The Company
Overall, the atmosphere was good and friendly. With the quieter periods during the year, morale was abit low when there wan't too many enquires or orders but throughout the year, it was good fun
The work placement was organised well over the 12 months
There was no investment but there enough training for my role
Company Parties/Events
As We Brand It is a small company there is not much prospect of a promotion within the company
The Culture
As there was around 16 interns, there was a good social within the group
The cost of living was quite high, and Reading (20 minutes drive away) is the the area for socialising
There is not much night life in Maidenhead but Reading and Windsor was better for nightlife
Not too many to do with the company, but some of the interns organised nights out during the week and at the weekends
