The Role
I thought it was a great opportunity and really enjoyed mixing with other interns and those more experienced than me.
Everyone was really friendly and more than willing to help. I got on with them on a personal and business level.
I was always given help and assistance was there if I ever needed it.
On some days I would be non-stop at a clients, however on other days I would be a little less busy.
pwc trusted the work I contributed and I felt that I was able to do experienced work.
I learnt a lot about the business world which I was unaware of previously, and I also learnt alot about accounting techniques and the basics of auditing.
The Company
It was a beautiful office and everyone was friendly, however most of the time you would be based at a clients office.
I thought it was very well organised, I knew what I was doing and where I would be placed at all times.
A lot of training was given and they really made a lot of effort to ensure we were aware of what we were doing and had the correct knowledge.
Company Parties/Events
I was given a job a few days after the placement ended.
The Culture
We were actively encouraged to engage with others
Hull is very cheap in comparison to the south.
I worked in Hull which is a lot less sociable than many larger cities.
There were after-work drinks and other engagements, as Hull was only a small office, most of the events were held in Leeds or Manchester.
