  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I definitely wouldn't change this placement for anything and am so glad I chose to do a placement year. The experience with the company has been invaluable and I would recommend a placement year with Lidl to anybody. The skills you learn and develop will be with you for life especially if your career lies within retail as mine hopefully does.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • As we were located at different locations within the UK we didn't really get chance to socialise as placement students. Whilst in Head Office however I socialised with two others due to being there at the same time. Towards the end of the placement we had a presentation/fun day where I met with all the other placement students which was interesting to find out what they had been up to over the year.
