The Role
I have enjoyed my placement at Accenture greatly. There are loads of interns so you are in the same boat as others of the same age which means a great social side in the work place.
Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming.
My managers were excellent, very approachable. Although they were busy, I felt if i needed to talk to them, they would be there for me.
As a lot of work at Accenture is project work, the extent of how busy I was could vary a lot. Some days were extremely busy and others quite quiet. There are always opportunties to get involved there so boredom isn't a problm.
All interns at Accenture are given a large amount of responsibilty as you are treated like a regular graduate.
I have learnt a tremendous number of skills which will be so useful throughout my career. The whole experiences has been a real eye opener.
The Company
Generally, everyone was very up beat and animated. Accenture provide a number of initiatives such as free fruit and managers are often very generous in terms of team lunches and socials to ensure that everyone is motivated.
We had schemes people who were always contactable about any issues. They also organised events throughout the year to ensure that the interns kept in touch,
The main area of training was on excel but skills along the way were also learnt. These vary widely depending on the project you are put on.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
The benefits and perks at Accenture are amazong and the most attractive prospect is their promotional scheme which allows individuals to work there was up the company if they choose. Accenture employees do work very long hours though which can be a turn off in the long term.
The Culture
There are many events organised throughout the year and so many interns are taken on, you are bound to become friends with someone.
Living in London is obviously extremley expensive but the pay at Accenture is generous enough to make up for this.
Central london night life is amazing
There is a life @ team on each project who ensure that socials, team dinner, theatre trips, days out etc are organised as well as account meet and greets so that everyone knows eachother and communication and networking are consistently achieved.
