The Role
Really enjoyed it, with socials and really good personal development training.
Always given responsible tasks and trust from the outset.
Support from day one and always open to questions, never seemed to bother them.
Enough to keep you going but not so much that you felt overwhelmed and never expected to take work home with you.
Given responsibility from day one due to nature of the job. Had to correspond with clients on a regular basis. Given important tasks in order to complete the job.
Due to the training we received at Bradenham the national training centre I gained skills and obtained advice and feedback that will aid me for life. As well as the professional skills and teamwork, communication and organisational skills you learn throughout.
The Company
Everyone always made time to speak to you and make you feel welcome.
Very organised and knew what clients you would be out on and when. Always updated and kept in the loop and everything seemed to be organised very well and efficiently, tailored to you.
2 day training course to aid us in our Business impact, presentation, feedback were the main skills we learnt amongst many others.

Grant Thornton aim to convert 100% of interns into graduates. Not yet at end of placement but as long as you work hard and impress likely to be offered a training contract.
The Culture
Yes, especially at the training centre everyone got on well and plan to meet after the internship. Due to nature of audit you are out at clients so hard to have much of a social scene afterwards.
Pick the right place and no problems.
Edinburgh has plenty of nightlife, especially if you work during the Fringe festival - nothing better.
Especially within Corporate Responsibility and external networking events - priceless.
