    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a great year, which gave me a lot of experience and helped to develop various transferable skills.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was given a high level of responsibility after showing that I am a hard-worker. The people I worked with were absolutely incredible, helpful and supportive.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • When I started, the previous intern taught me for a month on a daily basis. After that period, I had a manual, which I hardly needed after the training period. My team members showed a great level of support and patience every time I asked them to help or explain something when started a new task.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • One of my job characteristics is that you can have very busy and very quite periods (month and quarter ends are normally the busiest periods). Nevertheless, I could always find a balance and spread the tasks accordingly.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • 4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I believe that the skills I developed are the key in the business world.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • There was a balance between the work that had to be done, and the fun we had.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The program developed significantly during the last year, nothing to complain about.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I had a lot of opportunities to develop myself on my own, watching online training resources, as well as attending the training courses or shadowing my colleagues.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The area is much cheaper (in terms of accommodation) in comparison with central London.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • As the office is not located in the central London, there is hardly any nightlife here. However, it is just 10-20 minutes away from Richmond and Windsor which have some great bars and restaurants!

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Definitely! Various projects, charity work, company events.
