    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a very good few days but compared to other insight academy's I'd attended possibly not the best one.

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • A lot of people on each academy (54 on mine) made it difficult to make close friendships and get to know anyone well but the rotations working in different teams was both challenging and rewarding.

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • All the PwC staff were extremely helpful.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very fast paced but this is good for a 3 day programme as it definitely makes the most out of a short space of time.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Very team based and assessment activity based.

    2/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Would have liked some more actual work experience but the assessed tasks definitely taught me a lot .

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Good lively atmosphere particularly in the evenings and group tasks.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Extremely good organisation and planning, never confused about what you were doing.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Felt very much like a three day assessment center but the opportunities it could provide afterwards are a definite bonus.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Sports and Social Club

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • As long as you perform well you will either be offered a summer internship or fast tracked into the assessment process.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Again a lot of people makes it hard to form close friendships but the evening dinners were very good.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • In a hotel, everything paid for!

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Not applicable for this programme.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not applicable for this programme.
