The Role
I really enjoyed my time at EY. I was busy and had lots to do, and the people I worked with were fantastic.
I felt like all my colleagues valued the work I did, and were pleased I could help them.
Considerable. Feedback and support and fundamentals to how work is done at EY. Questions are always encouraged.
There were times when I was not considerably busy but it is easy to get work by asking around. I was given plenty of contacts to ask if I did not have enough work.
Job dependent, some roles or engagments gave me considerable responsibility and work to do, whereas others did not.
Considerably, I have learnt a variety of skills particularly on looking at how a business works and how to undertake work.
The Company
Relaxed, friendly but still a sense of hardwork
A few minor issues such as not having buddies on our first day. All downtime was well managed
At this stage there wasn't any signiciant investment, although it was apparent that as you progressed there would be. In terms of personal development, the majority of managers went through work and feedback with your so you could fully understand what went well/badly.
I am optomistic that I will be offered a job after leaving the firm. They have also supported me in ensuring this is a possibility.
The Culture
yes! I was busy almost every night of the week socialising with both other interns and my department alike.
No more expensive that what I would expect for London.
Plenty of pubs and bars around the office after a day at work.
There were various events organised almost nightly. There were plenty of opportunities you just had to say yes!
