The Role
I didn't find the work challenging at all. I was mostly given very basic office work
They were always ther when I needed them and very approachable
Occasionally there was a shortage of work
I was never given work of any real importance
Improved my presentation skills and business/commercial awareness
The Company
Very relaxed and friendly
Lack of structure, not really much work set out for you, you just have to go round the office and ask
We were given a few presentations on the different lines of work actuaries get involved with, I got given some modelling work but never really felt I was learning all that much. I think learnt very little considering the internship was 6 weeks long
Easy to get involved with all the different aspects of Actuarial work, I don't think there are any work place politics to stop people progressing and they give you a lot of study support towards your exams
The Culture
We went out for quite a few team lunches and drinks after work once or twice
London is expensive
Wouldn't really know didn't go out in London that much
Not much
