The Role
Little in the way of tuition but gave some opportunities
Friendly environment but somewhat belittled as being an intern.
Lack of tuition but gave some good feedback on news writing.
Very busy but that's what you expect.
Some but little in comparison to other newsrooms.
News writing was useful and friendly enough environment but I've done better placements.
The Company
Quite tense, not very exciting and generally underwhelming with a lack of passion
Not any clear guidance given at all really, if you wanted to do something you had to nag a little.
Absolutely nothing other than some rare feedback on articles and interview tact.
No openings that were made common knowledge, extremely competetitve even here.
The Culture
Not that I was aware of
Very cheap area with just about enough to make it not seem like a bad deal
Very little, steer clear if you're after a big cultural hub
Little to do and get involved with in a very sparse area
