The Role
It was the best decision I ever made
I worked as the assistant to the whole team - the glue
They were always there to offer a helping hand.
Everyday was different. When it was a month where there was an exhibition to plan that month became busier
As I became more comfortable with the role, they gave me more responsibitiy.
I have learnt so much on this placement. more than I would of learned sitting in a class room.
The Company
each day was different, some days the office would be empty, as alot of stuff worked on the road. Others it would be packed and lively
It was a very flexible placement which I liked. As I became more confident in the role more responsibities were offered and my Job role changed.
Panasonic offfers alot of training, and my manager was always supportive fin my personal development
Sports and Social Club
Company Car
National Travel
International Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I would like to go on a graduate scheme after I graduate and sadly Panasonic doesnt offer one that I would like to go on.
The Culture
Yes, there are other placement students working around the company. We all live together and car share in. It allows us to continue living the somewhat student lifestyle.
Rent is fairly cheap in Reading which is a positive. however there is not much to do in Reading or Bracknell where the offices are.
It is terrible, I expected more for a University City. Reading is full of Pubs no clubs.
Yes, there are a few sports clubs like football or netball
