The Role
Very enjoyable, no day was the same as the other. Would happily work there in the future.
Sense of community within the office made it easy to speak to others, everyone happy to be working under the Disney name.
As I was only there for two weeks, I didn't get the contact I would have got if I were there for the year. However, it was clear I was treated like the other placement students and respected getting about 4 hours a week with my manager.
After the first week, I had completed the set tasks for the duration of the placement. There were times where I had no tasks set and management were out of the office.
As I was only there for two weeks, the extent of responsibility was minimal. However, that was understandable as a temporary intern.
The staff at Disney were very helpful in offering tips and suggestions for my progression. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and take away some invaluable skills.
The Company
Everyone within the office is welcoming to new employees. Regular meetings of other interns and free food around the workplace always helped!
The two week placement was well organised, as I had four set projects to complete. However, there were times where I was stuck where my manager was not in and me left stuck.
The time investment alone was invaluable, there was no set training as such, but they like to 'drop you in the deep end' which i preferred.
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Held on to my CV and also stayed in touch with people from Disney.
The Culture
Great social atmosphere, one of the best parts of the job. They are very welcoming and happy to help.
As it was in the middle of London, it was a bit expensive, even in the Disney Cafe!
Some bars and clubs within the surrounding area.
It looked like, that there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in charity events to represent Disney.
