The Role
Great environment, with a variety of work.
People were eager to stress that the work you did added value and was necessary.
You are assigned a counsellor durng your internship, and mine provided me with a lot of guidance and help. Managers were sometimes very busy and struggled to brief you in detail, but overall, it wasn't much of a problem.
Not enough work sent my way: My department was very busy, and sometimes people didn't seem ready to direct work to interns.
I felt I could have shouldered more responsibility, and found myself taking initiative on a lot of tasked beyong what was asked of me. There is scope for interns to be stretched more.
I developed a great understanding of the firm, and work that is conducted for clients. There we no formal training sessions: you had to find your feet quickly during the first week.
The Company
Upbeat atmosphere: there are many projects being undertaken at present so people were always on the move. Very few people were on the bench.
Some was well done; other times i found myself hunting for work to do.
A lot of time and resources were sent my way, given how little time some managers had. For example, I conducted a Partner shadowing day, which was hugely beneficial.

The Culture
Whole host of social events organised throughout the internship.
London prices; don't expect to live cheaply.
