The Role
Interesting work, welcoming colleagues and a relaxed atmosphere.
Willing to listen to suggestions and ideas, and often provided constructive feedback to improve these ideas.
They were always happy to answer questions, (however mundane!)
Some days can be busier than others, but there's always work that needs doing.
I had full responsibility over my tasks and given the freedom to manage my time as I wished. All work gets reviewed by your line manager.
Some useful skills, particularly advanced Excel ideas. A lot of time was spent on in-house software.
The Company
Relaxed atmosphere - there are plenty of opportunities to catch up with your colleagues.
I was assigned to a project mentor on my first day, who had planned work for me well in advance of the internship.
There were opportunities to attend web conferences to learn more about the industry and clients, which I was encouraged to attend. On a day-to-day basis, everyone was happy to answer any question.

Still on a placement, but last year's interns in this office were all offered jobs
The Culture
Friday pub lunches and drinks after work. If colleagues have passed exams, the company helps to organise celebratory nights. There are regular opportunities to play football and other sports during lunch breaks.
Not as expensive as the City, but not cheap either.
None in Epsom, but London is less than an hour away.
Opportunities to help out on volunteering days.
