    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The team is great, particularly in my office. We always had a lot of fun and all the consultants tried to get me really involved in everything they were doing.

  • Very. People always made an effort to thank me for the work I had done.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had both a 'mentor' and a 'buddy' during my internship. I had regular meetings with both and they both regularly asked how I was getting on.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The right amount of work. I was involved in an interesting array of projects throughout my time here which kept me busy from 9 til 5. I had to stay later a few nights but never beyond half 6.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given quite a lot of responsibility when I was given the task of conducting the initial data analysis of one of the companies main surveys.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have definitely learnt a huge amount both about the industry and the nature of consulting.

  • Everyone was very approachable and a lot of fun.

  • Well planned. The team had been thinking of interesting work to give me before I came.

  • Lots of meetings at the start so that I really got a good understanding of the company and the different functions that various areas of the business performed. I also had regular opportunities to meet with the senior managers.
