The Role
It was challenging but very enjoyable.
The office had a very nice atmosphere and everyone was genuinely nice and helpful.
My project manager and other colleagues were always around if I ever needed help and my manager always gave clear directions on my task.
Usually had a good amount of work to be getting on with - sometimes was very busy and sometimes didn't have too much but on the whole it was good.
Was usually left to run through the project myself after an overview on the task. They were always around for help but I never felt as if they didn't trust me with the work.
I think the general skills of working in an office environment will be very useful throughout my career along with the organisation and time management skills. In particular, the training on the use of their software would be extremely useful should my career continue at Towers Watson.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly and talkative. It was a very nice atmosphere to be a part of.
There were some techinical problems to start off with such as access to network drives but these were mostly resolved.
I think the amount of training at Towers Watson was fantastic. I feel like they wanted us to learn about the different software and programs and they obviously invested a lot in their interns.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Hopefully get a graduate placement with them!
The Culture
Most fridays were spent out for lunch and at the pub in the evening so it was a nice amount of time to get to know the colleagues.
Not as expensive as it would be in London but Epsom wasn't the cheapest place.
Didn't tend to experience too much of the nightlife apart from the pub on Fridays!
They regularly played football and badminton during the week which everyone was free to join.
