The Role
Very enjoyable. Useful exposure to the work, good work:social balance.
Friendly team
Managers were involved in itnernship project, and more than happy to help and advise with other more routine work.
Enough to keep me busy, and the work covered a variety of areas within the business, so gave a great oversight.
Autonomy given on intern projects, some work was quite micromanaged as it was quite complicated, but that's reasonable. Other projects offered a lot of freedom, with oversight at the end of course!
Definitely useful things to be doing, as it is all part of the day to day work of an employee.
The Company
Plenty going on after work, staff leaving parties, exam results, birthdays etc so it was a lively office, people were approachable and friendly
An overview was given at the start so I knew what I would be doing which was helpful.
The internship was viewed as potentially leading to a full time job, so the company was certainly keen to train people up.
Flexi Time
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Interns are the first port of call for the grad scheme, so they are certainly keen to hire interns who meet the criteria.
The Culture
There were only a few of us in the office, so it was something we organised ourselves, but added to the stuff the wider office organised there was plenty going on.
Not expensive at all, the town centre is nearby so you don't need to eat/drink in the more expensive shops right next to the corporate offices
Plenty going on, though not as much as would be during term time, given it is a university city.
Regular offers of trips and activities organised
