The Role
Really enjoyed working at Towers Watson, everyone was really welcoming and I experienced a variety of work
I felt like they treated me the same as their other colleagues and didn't value me any less because I was an intern. Everybody in the office was very friendly and approachable.
On majority of the work I had to do I was talked through the stages clearly and the questions I asked were answered.
Some days I would have a lot of work to do and other days I wouldn't have much, it just depended on when my colleagues were ready to set me the next piece of work. However I still did cope with the workload.
I had more responsibility than I thought I would have, my colleagues depended on me to get my work done to a high standard within the time-frame given. I also had a fair amount of responsibility whilst working on the intern project.
Really have learnt a lot over a short space of time and the skills I have learnt will be transferable for the rest of my degree and also when I start a graduate job. This internship is a great headstart for starting a graduate job because it has familiarised me certain software packages and terminology used and I also think it has hugely developed my team working and communication skills.
The Company
Friendly atmosphere and fairly laid back. Hours are also flexible
Really well organised especially the central days with all the interns.
We had one training day where all expenses were covered. Much external training wasn't needed though because I learnt a lot from working in the office.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Hopefully I will get a job with them next year!
The Culture
Went out for drinks quite a few times and also went to play laser tag once!
Lived at home and just had to pay for travel which was around £30 a week.
Not much around the office but central london isn't far on the train.
There were a few socials and sports events and also participated in a volunteering day
