The Role
Really enjoyed my time there, fantastic department and everyone was very welcoming.
They seemed thankful for the work that I had done for them and explained how the work that I had done would be used in the grand scheme of things.
Support was given when needed but otherwise left to get on with the task at hand.
There was only really one day when I didn't have much to do. Otherwise I was kept busy with all members of the team giving me pieces of work and I also had a couple of projects running throughout which I could pick up when I didn't have anything else to do.
The work I was given was not particularly complex but it was used to give clients and also background research for the team which was fairly important.
I think that the skills will be very useful for my Masters, particularly managing multiple projects at once and prioritising. Spending a lot of time working in the industry and hearing conversations about the market and work in general is very helpful to pick up bits of knowledge.
The Company
Everyone was very friendly and were able to have a laugh and drink together but also worked hard.
The internship started with a full day induction which was incredibly useful giving an overview of Cushman and where they see themselves in a few years time, as well as team bonding and how to get the most out of the internship. The team seemed prepared for my arrival and had sorted things out for me to do. There were activities to get involved with and a few sessions run to give us an insight into our personalities and how we work best.
With the induction day and insight session we were able to learn more about ourselves and how others work to get the best from both.
They seem like an excellent company to work for and many of their senior staff came up through the graduate scheme. The graduate scheme is well run and very successful and the general atmosphere of the company is somewhere that I really enjoyed and could see myself working in the future.
The Culture
Went out for lunch and drinks regularly.
Central London...
Numerous bars to choose from.
Were invited to get involved in hockey and softball tournaments as well as drinks with other interns, grads and colleagues.
