The Role
The work was interesting and there was always the option to ask for something different to do. Everyone was very friendly and happy to help with the work and explain parts tof the business. There were lots of fun social events.
The project I was working on was quite important so my colleagues were very pleased to see it done. I was trusted to help with some client work too.
I wasn't given any direct objectives but I was always given direction and help when I needed it. Various people from around the gave me tutorials on various areas of th business.
I always had alot to do on my main project but if it ever got repetative I asked for something different to do. I was always quite busy.
I was given a lot of resposibility working on an internal project and I was give some client work to help out on towards the end.
I learnt alot of teamworking skills and also loads about the industry in general. I also had a few training days to learn about the various bits of software I was using at work.
The Company
Everyone was very talkative and sociable. The only quiet times was when people were away on study days etc.
The overall setup was very good. We has an intern project and we recieved feedback on our presentation. However, the organisation in the office wasn't so good, my line manager ended up being based in a different office.
We had lots of training days and the individual talks from people were very good. They spent alot of time creating worksheets and presentations.
Company Parties/Events
I think they are looking to hire alot of graduates so hopefully I am in with a good chance.
The Culture
We had a lot of social drinks after the centrally run days and a few night out.
It was suprisingly cheap given that it was in the middle of the city. When we went out with work colleagues we were always bought drinks.
It was in the middle of London so there was always something to do.
I did a volunteer day which was really fun. They put on a BBQ afterwards which was nice. We also had several social events such as exam results drinks and leaving drinks. We quite often went out for lunch.
