The Role
It was fun depending on how much work I had to do and how relaxed the workforce were. I took part in a CSR day in Clapham park (picking up rubbish, painting, planting trees) which was extremely fun. I had a chance to be with the other interns and see what they were up to.
The fact that I was given so much responsibility showed how much the company valued me. When I was leaving they all had lovely things to say and didnt want me to go so I felt appreciated!
We were all given mentors to work underneath so, any questions I had I was able to ask them for help. Your in charge is also there for useful advice. There was so much information available on the KPMG intranet which helped immensely.
Especially towards the end, they trusted me more! Fortunately for me, one of the staff went on study leave so I had to pick up all her remaining work. This meant I had so much to do!
From day 1! They really trust you and hence give you a lot of responsibility!
The skills and training I received will definitely assist me in a job with KPMG. I learnt how to communicate with staff and use excel which could possibly help me in University.
The Company
You can tell when everyone is busy and has a lot to do because everyone tends to stay at their desk and work work work! Fridays are usually quite chilled
At first, I felt no one knew what I was doing there and hadn't lined up activities for me. Eventually I was given things to do here and there.
They gave me a 2 day training session about the company which was very useful. I had a few other presentations about future prospects and a lot of training was available on the KPMG intranet

Company Parties/Events
Fortunately I got a job with them! Very happy indeed!
The Culture
Yes, it's more up to you to organise events and get togethers with the other interns (which isn't hard to do)
Socialising in London will always be expensive. I lived at home so you can say the living cost were next to peanuts!
London is always buzzing!
There were a few CSR days but apart from that, no.
