The Role
The work was very varied. Having the opportunity to gain an insight in to two departements was very useful!
Colleagues took the time to explain what they were doing, giving detailed background information on projects. They were also happy to explain any technical term and were very approachable.
There was always someone on the project who was willing to support and guide.
Due to the technical nature of the work, occasionally it is difficult for work to be assigned.
Technical skills are developed which will prove useful in your career but the scheme also improves your confidence, communication skills, and general business knowledge.

The Culture
The students organised events at the end of each week. There was also an event organised at the end of the placement for all students by Deloitte. We also kept in regular contact during the week e.g. meeting for lunch, when not based at a client site. If departmental events were organised during the placement, students were invited to attend these.
