The Role
Really enojyed my time spent at EY- learnt lots of new skills and was really made open to the experience of what it would be like to work at a global professional services company.
My collegues were incredibly friendly and helpful and treated me like a graduate from day 1.
Lots of support was given though being allocated a Buddy, who you can ask anything, and weekly counsellor sessions- where I was given feedback and it was the opportunity to discuss any problems/ challenges.
I was always given a variety of different tasks however I probably could have been kept slightly busier- however this was challenging due to the fact that summer is slightly quieter for professional service companies.
I was given plenty of responsibility and treated like I was a graduate- I was certainly not just making tea!
The skills I have learnt will certainly assist me in my future working life- not so sure how they will assist my degree due to the nature of it- but I will remember and use everything I learnt at EY when I start my career.
The Company
Everyone was really friendly.
Very well organised- always made aware of what stage we were at with weekly counselling sessions.
The firm really invest in you from day 1- you're definitely made to feel as if they want to keep you on!
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing- I will be taking a graduate job if offered.
The Culture
Towards the end things started to pick up a bit, but there are plenty of young people working at the firm. We went out for lunch as a team fairly regularly which was a great way to get to know your team better.
Fairly cheap.
Nightlife is ok- nothing to write home about!
A weekly exercise class was run plus nights out with younger collegues.
