The Role
Internship was full of a variety of experiences
My colleagues were approachable and friendly
we had a number of counsellors which meant that you had guidance at every step. All of the managers were approachable also.
Constantly busy with a long-term project. EY encourage you to work with every manager and so you have to be active in approaching them for work.
we were encouraged to be accountable for all of our tasks and attending client meetings as notetakers was a large responsibility"
my intrapersonal skills flourished. Time management was also key and this will definitely help at university!
The Company
friendly, approachable and warm. Like one big professional, working family.
induction was superb. On the first day at the office we didn't get much guidance however over the course of the next week we received an itinerary which organised our time effectively.
counsellors were flexible and encouraged you to develop. Managers gave me challenging work to push me out of my comfort zone.
Company Parties/Events
fingers crossed
The Culture
due to audit interns it was difficult to arrange any socials. We had two socials organised by the office and they were very fun! Looking forward to the intern ball in Manchester!
I had to live in a B&B which was expensive but overall Cambridge is not a bad place to buy things...fairly cheap.
didn't go out at all, mainly because we couldn't get everyone together!
We had one CSR day which involved us going to the Scout's training camp. Other than that, nothing.
