The Role
Interesting work, friendly office.
We were all working on useful projects.
Always happy to answer my questions.
Given one specific project to work on for 6 weeks. This was ideal as you could clearly manage your team and see what you had achieved and was far better than constantly having to ask different colleagues for work to do.
Given specific responsibility for seeing an important project through to conclusion.
Just generally working on my project meant that I picked up a lot of knowledge about insurance.
The Company
Very friendly and relaxed, dress code is business casual and we had "dress down" Fridays.
Organised very well by HR, good communication etc. They perhaps need to work on preparing the manager's in the office more for our arrival.
Lots of time spent with my manager teaching me about insurance, we also had training days in other offices and were able to attend some software training sessions.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Fingers crossed!
The Culture
People go to lunch in groups all the time, and often a large group goes to the pub together on Friday lunchtime and after work. There were good exam results socials and also sports competitions with other offices.
Standard south London.
We only went to pubs.
Socials and sports clubs.
