The Role
Very good internship placement with numerous opportunities and a good social/work balance.
I felt valued by most and developed good working relationships with nearly all colleagues within the first few days. There was a very useful introduction period where I was able to meet every member of the team in the first two days.
I felt very well guided and was never unsure of what to do/how to do it. They were all very happy to answer any quetions I had.
Some days I was very busy but there were a number of days where there wasnt a huge amount to do. Admittedly it is a quiet period in the industry.
I was given more and more and the placement went on and my colleagues became confident in my ability to get things done on time and to a good standard. I enjoyed the responsibility I was given.
I dont feel that the skills I learnt helped in terms of my degree but there were usfeul team and leadership skills which will be beneficial in my whole working life.
The Company
The office was great fun. Everyone was very relaxed and happy to enjoy themseleves as well as working. There were also good social opportunities with work colleagues outside of the office.
It was very well organised. There was an induction weekend which allowed us to meet the other interns before we started and an office induction which allowed us to settle in quickly to the office when we arrived.
Other than the individual guidance from people that I worked for I dont feel a huge amount was put into my personal development. I imagine this happens more when you join as a graduate.

Company Parties/Events
There is a 90% chance of interns getting a graduate offer and I would love to be given the opportuinity!
The Culture
There was a good social scene although fewer intern based socials than I expected. There were a few opporunities to meet up with fellow colleagues outside of work which were very good, and further networking events were also available.
Living isnt too expensive here although socialising can be at times (compared to university at least!). It is definitely not as expensive as London though.
This was the first time I had been out in Birmingham and I thought it had good nightlife.
There were networking opportunities, sporting opportunities and social opportunities so I think there was something for everyone.
