The Role
Initially I was really looking forward to the internship, however having no prior knowledge of the business meant that I was a bit apprehensive about what would be expected of me particularly in regards to the amount of work and level of work that I would be expected to carry out. However, within a few days I realised that I was not being asked to do anything beyond my capabilities and I found the whole experience really enjoyable.
Working in a small office meant that I very quickly got to know most of the members of staff and everyone very quickly made me feel really at home.
Buddy and counsellor assigned were really helpful.
The amount of work required varies depending on client and the time spent at that particular client. As a result there were some days when there was a lot of work to do and some when there was considerably less.
The level of responsibility given to me varied depending on the the client and the length of engagement.
I feel that everything I have learnt will be immensely useful going into my last year of University, particularly with time management and organisation.
The Company
Brilliant atmosphere; everyone was really hardworking but still good fun.
Really well organised, everything was thoroughly thought through.
I felt like the company really did see me as a future employee and not a temporary member of staff.
Company Parties/Events
Looking good!
The Culture
There was, but being the only intern in my particular office meant that I was unable to join in with most of the others.
Stayed with family
It's never dull in Hull!
Lots of opportunities and staff were always quick to invite me along to various things.
