The Role
It was a friendly and welcoming work place, with interesting work and great people.
Everyone welcomed me from the start, and became great friends with all my team within the first week.
My colleagues were very helpful, I never felt intimidated asking for help and they were always on hand to answer any questions I have.
My workload varied quite considerable, most of the time I was preoccupied and had work to do, sometimes I had too much and felt rushed and other times I had no work at all and was bored.
I was put on client projects right away but was mainly doing fairly menial work such as filing and writing up meeting notes. Thats to be expected though because it makes sense for the most junior member of the team to do the time consuming work.
I gained a few broad skills, and some specific ones which will help me if I get a job at the company. The communication and people skills I learnt will assist me in the last year of my degree.
The Company
Everyone was very relaxed, and although hard work and productivity were obviously encouraged, there were few dranconian measures, feeling of competiton or fear of being sacked.
They put a lot of effort into the internship scheme to make sure we enjoyed it and got the most out of it possible.
We did a 2 day presentation skill workship at Brandenham, as well as really involving me in client work from the beginning so I could learn by doing.

I would very much like to take the graduate job following the placement.
The Culture
During our time at Bradenham, I really got to know the other interns and the social scene is quite lively due to the large amount of young people in the office.
London is always going to be expensive, so you've just got to accept it or really search around for the right places.
Nightlife in london is great (if a little expensive!)
GT have loads of opportunities to get involved with activites outside of work such as an inter office football tournament and a golf day.
