The Role
The work was monotonous and the office was very isolated. Working from a spereate office to my wider team was highly de-motivating.
My line manager barely ever thanked me, never communicated at a personal level and regularly made derogatory comments infront of colleagues. In contrast, in my frist role my manager was very appreciative of my efforts and shared my successes with the wider team which made me feel very appreciated.
Support was lacking, ammendments were regularly given but direction and guidance was lacking.
This was highly variable which is understandable given the nature of the projects I worked on.
In my first role I was given a high level of responsiblity and autonomy which was highly motivating. in my second role I was constantly micro-managed to the point of being unable to send an itnernal email without approval for the first month in role. This was incredibly frustrating.
Microsoft office skills will be valuable.
The Company
Minimal interaction. Every interaction was initiaited by myself.
Good underlying structure.
Training provided was fantastic in quality and volume.
Above 25 days holiday
High level of job offers but low levels of acceptance.
The Culture
Yes on client site, no in London.
Outside work there was a good social scene and London housing was as expected.
