The Role
Fujitsu gave me the chance to get involved in a range of interesting opportunities.
At times I didn't feel particularly valued by my colleagues or line manager. However my fellow IP's and the graduates all made me feel welcome like one big happy family.
I was not given much support by my line manager, however I was given loads of support and guidance by my mentor. He helped me throughout the year and got me involved in many projects.
There were quiet times and busy times and this was expected from my line of business.
Responsibility was just the right level. I was always given a lot to do however if I needed help people were always willing to lend a hand.
Having worked in Fujitsu has opened my eyes to how a company runs. I will use all the professional skills I have learnt this year to excel in my degree and beyond.
The Company
The office was pretty quiet and not very exciting, however you make the most of lunch breaks with friends.
My placement could have been organised better, however I believe there are new measures being put in place and next year organisation should be much better.
The company wouldn't push training on me however if I found a training programme I wanted to do they were always willing and supportive.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Working from home
I like to think I will be offered a place back with Fujitsu and with all the different things they do there is bound to be something I will enjoy.
The Culture
Every one in the placement programme got on really well, we got on like a house on fire. The grads were also very nice and invited me to many events.
I was working in London this year so it was expensive to live. However this should not put any one off as it was an amazing experience.
London! Best clubs in the country!
After big projects there were often drinks and activity's to get involved in.
