The Role
For the first 4 weeks I really didnt have much to do. Work was very slow at times, although towards the end I was given more responsibility and larger tasks.
Colleagues were extremely nice and very welcoming. At times it was almost like I was being treated like somebody on work experience, but this improved towards the end of the placement.
I was given very little help or time from management for the majority of my placement. My manager happened to be out of the office alot and when he was not there nobody else knew what to do with me.
At times I was busy and work flow was good. m PArticularly in the last 4 weeks. But this was too little too late for me. I had been sitting around bored stiff for over 6 weeks. Even when I requested work it never came about.
With the tasks I was given I had a large amount of responsibility.
Some things have helped me. I havent learnt any direct skills I could apply to my course.
The Company
Upbeat and very relaxed
Very poor organisation, especially compared to othre placements at the time. Others had a project from day one, whereas I had scraps of work and nothing at times.
Not much be as expected as I was only there for 12 weeks.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Above 25 days holiday
Feedback has bee good about recieving a job offer.
The Culture
