The Role
It was a fantastic insight into the real work that goes on at PwC. Actually getting to do tasks that directly relate to what you would do on a day to day basis was a unique opportunity.
Everyone was really friendly. Having an informal social on the first evening with a photobooth was a great way to make bonds. Also having everyone staying together in a hotel helped.
We always had a facilitator on hand to ask questions and give us some direction when we struggled with a task.
Extremely busy, the time just flew by. Although I still got time to use the hotel fitness suite and pool!
We were all given the chance to manage our own time with the project we were assigned that lasted the duration of the insight.
I feel I gained a huge amount of confidence on working in group situations and making sure my opinions were heard.
The Company
Great atmosphere that I feel allowed everyone to shine rather than drawing attention to those who are naturally loud and take a leadership role. Everyone could work together and get on!
Everything ran very smoothly apart from the final afternoon where the wasn't as much focus to the tasks. Although this was due to the on going presentation that each group had to give to a panel of judges throughout the afternoon. It was good to have some down time although more structure to this session might have been better.
The whole insight was about us gaining skills as individuals as well as gaining at insight into the company which I thought was fantastic.

Brilliant future prospects. Such a range of jobs in a huge number of locations across the globe. So much opportunity for change for those of us who are afraid of becoming bored. Also so many options for internal movement between divisions meant that if you are not certain what you want to do at this stage it doesn't matter because once you are working for PwC you can try different lines of services or different roles within the same line of service. In fact it appeared to be encouraged which is what really appealed to me as someone who can be indecisive and enjoys regular change.
The Culture
Brilliant as mentioned before. The photo booth was a fantastic idea! A lot of fun and a lot of laughs!
PwC paid for everything! Even down to the drinks!
The events organised by PwC were great. They lasted a perfect amount of time as I think most of us were torn between socialising and sleeping after such packed days!
The hotel had a pool and gym to use during any free time we had.
