The Role
It was an absolutely amazing experience, and I was sad when it had to end!
They treated me very much as a trainee at the firm, including me in every aspect of work possible.
My supervisor was so laid back, but offered great advice and was always there if I needed help.
There were a few ocassions when the work slowed down, but having to participate in Project Nabarro meant I always had something to do.
I was given numerous research tasks to complete, and also my own file to analyse and report back to my supervisor, meaning I had ample responsibility.
The training I had here in my first week was the best I have ever had, and has actually prepared me for my university studies in my final year.
The Company
The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed even when tight deadlines were approaching.
Everyone knew where they were supposed to be, and what their deadlines for Project Nabarro were.
We had 3 separate training sessions with Westlaw, LexisNexis and PLC, just to make sure we could handle the research aspect of the vac scheme.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Out of 10 vacation scheme students, only 5 will get a training contract, leaving the odds at 50%.
The Culture
We all really enjoyed each others company and became good friends.
The cost of living in Sheffield and socialising is very cheap when compared to London.
There are clubs and bars for every taste.
They have numerous sports teams, as well as numerous volunteering activities that can be done individually and as part of a Nabarro team.
