The Role
Extremely good overview of the investment bank. Obtained great exposure to the different roles available, enjoying them all
Contributed greatly to a task on first rotation, receiving really good feedback, making me feel valued.
Most people were more than happy to provide help
Very busy on a daily basis. This was particular to my rotation however
Given great responsibility. Actually aiding in the development of a significant project for the desk.
Having finished a masters in mathematics I do not feel it will aid my degree studies however the practical skills obtained will be extremely useful.
The Company
Extremely busy yet friendly.
Internship catered to the needs of the interns extremely well. The scheme was extremely flexible and well organised.
Market lecture series weekly, and a weekly trading game.
Current climate implies that there will be a low conversion rate
The Culture
networking lunches and events were often set up, however they were often extremly formal.
Being within central london, the cost of living is extremely expensive.
liverpool street is an extremely lively area, with bank and st pauls near. These areas offer extremely good clubs and bars.
We were able to take part in a community service/treasure hunt day.
