  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Overall ProspectSoft offered a brilliant placement, it was extremely varied and flexible; plus the whole team were great to work with.

  • There was a fantastic atmosphere at ProspectSoft and it was obvious how much they appreciated the work I did.

  • There was never a stupid question and whenever I needed help or advice there was always someone to ask.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was kept really busy on a daily basis with a variety of different tasks which kept my placement interesting and useful.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Due to reshuffles whilst on placement I took on a lot of responsibility which was a great learning curve - there was still assistance from other parts of the team when needed though.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Having a proper idea of what the business world is actually like should help my understanding of different modules and also help when working out how the theory all fits in.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The general atmosphere at ProspectSoft is fantastic. It's a really young company and there's always something going on.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement was extremely well organised from start to finish. With great training to get us going and on-going development processes to aid us in our day-to-day jobs.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • All the placements got a lot of training when we first started to get us up to speed. There was also the opportunity to take part in additional training to improve our performance and ability.

  • Around 70% of the company are returning placements so ProspectSoft do hire placements with a high chance of getting a job at the end.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There are loads of company events throughout the year and people are always up for going out or a few drinks at the pub after work.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I lived in Oxford (about 25 minutes from the office), it's not the cheapest place but if you know where to go and what to look for it's no more expensive than any other student city.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Stokenchurch is quite a small place however a lot of the company live around Oxford so most nights out where there which was great.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There was always something going on, there was weekly football and we went on loads of different trips: paintballing, cinema, nights out etc
