The Role
Really enjoyed my time at GSK. Probably the best year of my life. Had some fantastic days/nights out, met some brilliant people, but the stress & hours that come with the job compensate for the good.
You're given a 'real' job, not just filling a gap to make tea and print. However, did sometimes feel that my opinion wasn't taken on board because of my position.
Don't take my mark on this as the status quo. Unfortunately had 2 managers over the first 6 months (both moved on with internal promotions). Did not have a manager for my final half of the year. Did hinder my development but was supported by the team still.
Too busy. Found myself working v long hours, at weekends and bank holidays. Mainly due to the team not being fully resourced, however this has since changed.
Did not get the chance to attend buyers meetings and see the results of my work. However did get the opportunity to sell products in to Tesco and work on the dot com plan.
On the job skills and personal development = massive. Training received = Sales training. Useful but would have liked to get more involved. Partly my fault, but in some cases not considered/informed about available training.
The Company
Very fun & dynamic office. Fantastic atmosphere. People very friendly and always able to find time out to advise/support you despite their busy work schedules.
Following the merge in the company, became slightly disorganised - working on accounts I shouldn't be on.
9/10. Despite a lack of manager for last half of the year, team would support me if needed. Also received interview training from a colleague as part of my development.

The Culture
Regular nights out on Thurs & Fri. Within the team, very sociable and always up for a laugh.
Commuted from North London, however know that it isn't cheap - paying London prices.
Area wasn't great as such. A couple of pubs. However, 30minutes from central London.
Gym had lots of clubs & classes (running, spinning,....) Regular 5 a side football
