The Role
The internship was a very rewarding and enjoyable experience
I felt incredibly valued by my colleagues in the branch who were very friendly and welcoming from the outset allowing me to settle in with relative ease
The internship involved a lot of independent work however all of my colleagues were more than happy to support when required
I was busy everyday because if I didn't have tasks to do I sought out opportunities to get the most out of the internship
I was given a lot of responsibility taking into account the nature of the work
It was a fantastic opportunity to learn about the real business world and I feel this with help me greatly with my degree and future career
The Company
I expected the atmosphere to be serious but it was actually really fun and upbeat with plenty of jokes
Very well, the induction weekend prior to internship was a great introduction to the programme and communication continued throughout
The company invested a lot in me and I am very grateful for this
The graduate programmes are very appealing and the internship allowed me to obtain a greater understanding of which programme I want to aim for
The Culture
The social scene is good considering the dispersed location of other interns
Relatively cheap in comparison to London for example
There were few opportunities to experience the nightlife
I played 5 a side football weekly and there are many charity events to get involved in
